We were back on the road at 8.45am and into Litchfield National Park shortly after. We went for a walk at Greenant Creek to Tjaetaba Falls which is a 3km return walk. Nathan and Elokin went for a swim in one of the pools at the top. We then went to Tolmer Falls and walked the short distance to the viewing platform. After there we went to Florence Falls and ate lunch in the car park as Hendrix had fallen asleep. Nathan and Elokin went and viewed the falls first and then I went after they came back. Hendrix woke up then and we left. When we got back to the main road to head back to Batchelor and then through to Darwin, there was a police vehicle blocking the road and the policeman came over and told us that there was a fire up the road and the road was closed. So we had to take the back way into Darwin through Berry Springs via dirt road.
We arrived at the Big 4 Howard Springs Tourist Park at 2.30pm which would be our home for the next few nights. We are in a cabin which is a nice change, not having to pop up the camper trailer. We went to Casuarina Shopping Centre to go to Big W and then to Woolies to grab some dinner this afternoon. MMMM chocolate and dessert and milo! While Nathan and I were unpacking the car Elokin was in the toilet and called out that she was doing a wee and a poo. I said from the kitchen sink that I could smell it and turned around to find on the floor that Hendrix had done the same! Funny as, but I also got stuck cleaning it up.
So far I have not been able to connect to their internet. I checked it before bed after midnight and it still isn’t working so I think they have a problem. I will go and see the office in the morning about it.
